Halford Blasts Publicity Stunt Claims

JUDAS PRIEST star ROB HALFORD has slammed theories he came out as a homosexual in a desperate bid to attract media attention.

The charismatic singer revealed his secret during a MTV interview in the 1990s, but rejects accusations he made the shocking confession to stir up some much-needed publicity - insisting it simply slipped out spontaneously.

Halford says, "It wasn't a premeditated thing. It was very flippant remark I made on MTV when I was working with TRENT REZNOR on the TWO record.

"Some people thought I just did it for the publicity, but I've got enough publicity in my life, thank you very much! I was asked a question and I replied by saying, 'Speaking as a gay man...' and the bloke almost dropped his clipboard."
