Guru Signs Cullum And Melua For Next Cd

Hip-hop star Guru has signed a host of top British music stars including Jamie Cullum and Katie Melua to sing and rap on his long-awaited follow-up to 2000 album JAZZMATAZZ, VOL 3: STREETSOUL.

The former GANG STARR rapper enlisted chart-toppers Angie Stone, DONELL JONES, Kelis, Craig David, Macy Gray and Herbie Hancock to appear on his last disc and is hoping to have another hit with JAZZMATAZZ: VOL 4, which combines jazz with hip-hop.

A music industry source says, "Guru's not had the change to work with many jazz musicians since doing the last album.

"But he's heard a lot of good things about the young jazz scene that's kicking off in the UK and has made contact with a lot of the big names.

"Guru's a huge fan of both Amy Winehouse and Katie and Lemar and Jamie are definitely going to appear."
