Guns N' Roses Ko Chinese Democracy

Rock giants GUNS N' ROSES have thrown the future of long-awaited new album CHINESE DEMOCRACY into doubt - by opting to release a greatest hits record this year (04) instead.

The SWEET CHILD O' MINE band gradually disintegrated during the nineties as one-by-one members Slash, Duff Mckagan, Matt Sorum and IZZY STRADLIN left, but eccentric lead singer Axl Rose kept the group alive and recruited new musicians.

And now, after years of delays - Rose has reportedly been working on the LP since the mid-nineties - fans will have to wait even longer for the new material and make do with the best of their previous work instead.

In 2002 Axl took his new look Guns n' Roses on the road, but their tour was cut short when Rose failed to show up for a gig in Philadelphia, leading performance sponsors CLEAR CHANNEL to cut ties with the rockers.
