Grohl Excited About Monster New Album
FOO FIGHTERS frontman DAVE GROHL is anxious about the release of the band's new album, because it's the most ambitious project he's ever undertaken.
Grohl and his bandmates have spent nearly a year recording double disc IN YOUR HONOR - and he is keen to share details of the brave project with fans.
A statement on the band's website, from Grohl, reads, "From five hours of bedroom demos, to warehouses being built from the ground up, to months of rehearsals, to the construction of an 8,000 square foot classic recording studio, to the recording of 40 songs, to the final track list of 20 songs, it is by far the most ambitious project I have ever had anything to do with in my entire life."
Grohl adds that fans will find the album, which is released in June (05) and features collaborations with NORAH JONES and LED ZEPPELIN bassist JOHN PAUL JONES, "surprising".
And he can't wait to start touring, performing and promoting the new material: "I have a calendar in front of me that is a year-long, f**king packed with tours that will spin us around the globe over and over and over again.
"It makes me dizzy just looking at it. I can't f**king wait."17/03/2005 14:00
