Green Day Hoping For Quiet New Year
Rockers GREEN DAY are hoping 2006 will afford them some well-earned rest - after admitting the past year (05) has been a "crazy" one.
The California hitmakers, who have just completed a sell-out tour promoting their AMERICAN IDIOT album, are looking forward to spending some quieter months in the recording studio.
Frontman BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG says, "It was a crazy year, but it's been the best year of our career. It's going to be kind of sad for it to end, but, you know, we don't have any regrets."
Bassist MIKE DIRNT adds, "A lot of people just keep going and going and going. It's important to know when to call it quits for a while and go home and rejuvenate and detox and write another record."
