Green Day Donate Itunes Profits To Red Cross
Punks GREEN DAY are to donate royalties from iTunes sales of their hit BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS to the AMERICAN RED CROSS' tsunami relief efforts.
The trio's track is number one on the legal download charts and the group has decided not to profit from the success.
Instead, they'll donate all proceeds from the period of the record's release through to the end of 2005.
Green Day frontman BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG says, "This is the worst global disaster we've seen in our lifetimes. We felt it was important to take part in the relief efforts any way we could."11/01/2005 09:46
