Gossett Jr To Be Honoured At Festival

Veteran actor LOUIS GOSSETT JR will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at California's 10th annual TEMECULA VALLEY INTERNATIONAL FILM AND MUSIC FESTIVAL next month (SEP04).

The OSCAR and EMMY-winning actor, who is currently celebrating his 53rd year in showbusiness, will receive the honour on 12 September.

Among numerous films are AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN, which won him an ACADEMY AWARD, and the television mini-series ROOTS, for which he picked up an Emmy. He also received a GOLDEN GLOBE for THE JOSEPHINE BAKER STORY.
