Goodrem Blasts Claims Sony Ordered Mum Sacking
Australian singer DELTA GOODREM has furiously lambasted reports her record company forced her to ditch her manager mother.
The BORN TO TRY beauty is devastated at widespread newspaper stories claiming SONY bosses ordered her to tell her mum LEA she was no longer up to the task of directing her career - which has ultimately damaged their relationship beyond repair.
And Goodrem has hit back at the false rumours on her website.
She says, "I am very disappointed about today's reports. My relationship with my mother is as strong as ever and we are a great team.
"We have been looking for the right international manager for the next step of my international career. I look forward to making an announcement about this shortly. We'll keep you posted."
Lea took over as manager last March (04) after Goodrem sacked industry veteran GLENN WHEATLEY, complaining he spent too much time with his star client, JOHN FARNHAM.28/04/2005 13:47
