Godsmack Inspire Jackman

Australian hunk HUGH JACKMAN drew on musical inspiration to get him in character for his role as X-MEN's WOLVERINE - from rockers GODSMACK.

Jackman, 34, reprises his blade-wielding role in the hit sequel X2: X-MEN UNITED, and he found that blasting some hard rock always did the trick for getting him in the right frame of mind.

He says, "I had Godsmack, this angry metal band, blaring in my trailer."

His X2 co-star JAMES MARSDEN adds, "I could hear Hugh getting into character a mile away - music blasting, loud groans..."
