Glitter Keeps Not Guilty Plea
LATEST: Disgraced British glam rocker GARY GLITTER is continuing to deny child molestation charges in Vietnam, his lawyer confirmed today (21FEB06).
The troubled singer, 61, is set to stand trial next month (02MAR06) over allegations he kissed and engaged in sexual acts with two girls, aged 10 and 11, in his Vung Tau residence.
The rocker, real name PAUL FRANCIS GADD, has always insisted his innocence since his November (05) arrest and has not changed his plea ahead of the trial, according to his attorney LE THANH KINH.
His lawyer says, "Up until now my client still rejects all the accusations by the provincial Prosecution Institute."
Glitter faces between three to seven years in jail if found guilty. The brief trial is expected to end on 3 March (06).
