Glitter Destroys Computer
LATEST: Shamed rocker GARY GLITTER has smashed up his computer in a desperate bid to hide explicit images of child abuse, according to police in Vietnam.
But computer analysts believe they can still be able to retrieve information from the laptop's hard drive.
Glitter - real name PAUL FRANCIS GADD - was last week (ends25NOV05) charged with child molestation by Vietnamese authorities, investigating claims he had sex with two underage girls.
He is being held in a Vietnamese prison and faces up to 12 years if convicted.
His offer to pay $45,000 (GBP25,000) bail has been rejected.
Glitter received a four-month jail sentence in 1999 after British police found child pornography on his PC.
