Gillespie Denies Minogue Insult

PRIMAL SCREAM singer BOBBY GILLESPIE has denied reports he made insulting comments about KYLIE MINOGUE at Britain's Glastonbury Festival last weekend (26JUN05).

Minogue was forced to pull out of her headlining slot at the musical extravaganza after she was diagnosed with breast cancer last month (MAY05) - and during his set, Gillespie reportedly shouted at the audience, "Did anyone come to see Kylie? F**k you."

But a spokesperson for the Scottish rocker insists he is a friend of Minogue's and would never disrespect her: "This was clearly not an insult to Kylie. This is a storm in a teacup and someone trying to make a story out of nothing. Bobby knows Kylie and he wishes her well."

The pair became friends in the early 1990s and even appeared on the front cover of Britain's Select magazine together.
