Gillan Banned From Driving
DEEP PURPLE singer Ian Gillan has been banned from driving after being caught drunk on the road.
The rocker, 58, was pulled over by police near his home in Lyme Regis, Dorset, England on 22 May (04) and found to be more than twice over the alcohol limit.
A local court banned Gillan, who also sang for Black Sabbath and his own 1980s supergroup GILLAN, from driving for 16 months.
Gillan pleaded guilty and was fined $277.80 (GBP500).
