George Embarrassed Over Soap Past

Former ALIAS star MELISSA GEORGE snapped during a newspaper interview in her native Australia, when the journalist brought up her soap opera past.

As a teenage actress, the blonde beauty leapt to fame across Australasia and Britain playing ANGEL BROOKS in Home And Away from 1993 to 1996.

But now, after roles in Hollywood films The Amityville Horror and Catch Me If You Can, George is embarrassed by her humble TV beginnings.

After a Sydney Daily Telegraph reporter asked her about her days on Home And Away, George replied, "Nobody brings it up anymore, you're actually the first person that has.

"Alias really stopped that and since Amityville Horror came out nobody even mentions it. It's great, people just want to talk about nice projects - they know Home And Away was 13 years ago."
