Garfield To Hit The Big Screen

Popular cartoon cat GARFIELD will be brought to life in a new movie - with BILL MURRAY providing the voice for the feline.

The TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX film is based on the comic strip and features cynical Garfield, who must tolerate the indignity of being saddled with a timid owner - played by BRECKIN MEYER - and a nitwit dog as housemates.

Drawn by JIM DAVIS, Garfield marks its 25th anniversary on 19 June (03), having debuted in 1978.
