From Buffy To Ballet
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is finally being put to rest - the show's creator is turning from demons to dancing.
Joss Whedon, the creative genius behind the long-running TV cult show, is bowing out - taking Buffy with him. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan and the other cast members have filmed their final show, and despite pleas from desperate fans, Whedon is refusing to write a Buffy spin-off - because he's fallen in love with ballet.
He says, "I went to see the ROYAL BALLET COMPANY in London, and I was hooked. Since then I have become utterly obsessed with ballet.
"Network bosses have asked me to come up with a spin-off vampire series, but that can wait. I plan to write a classical ballet next."
Seven years of producing Buffy shows left him exhausted, and Whedon insists it's definitely time for a break.
He adds, "The schedule was punishing. My body was telling me it was time to stop."
