Franz Ferdinand Bow Before Queen

British rockers Franz Ferdinand have revealed the surprising inspiration behind their new album - eighties glam rockers Queen.

The band recently released YOU COULD HAVE IT SO MUCH BETTER, a quick follow up to their 2004 eponymous debut album.

And frontman Alex Kapranos is appealing to fans to try and spot the similiarities.

He says, "I've loved Queen ever since I was young.

"I think there's a Queen influence on the new record - especially their rhythm section.

"Roger Taylor and JOHN DEACON were masterful. The bass line to ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST is brilliant.

"I think Freddie Mercury is the ultimate showman. He really inspires me when I perform."
