Foxx's Ray Gets Another Oscars Boost

Jamie Foxx's acclaimed Ray Charles biopic has been given yet another OSCAR boost with a string of nominations for the upcoming SATELLITE AWARDS.

The film is among the nominees for Best Motion Picture, Taylor Hackford is up for Best Director, and Foxx and co-star Kerry Washington are under consideration for the Best Actor and Best Actress prizes.

The ninth annual ceremony will be held in Beverly Hills in January (23JAN04) with Susan Sarandon and comic Jerry Lewis the recipients of lifetime achievement prizes.
