Former Lawyer Replaces Rivers On Red Carpet
Lawyer-turned-TV personality Star Jones will work the red carpet of the 2004 Primetime Emmy Awards for E! ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION, in replacement of JOAN and Melissa Rivers.
Joan and her daughter Melissa, who over the years became notorious for their harsh criticism of celebrities' red carpet fashion choices, left the position open earlier this year (04), after moving over to the TV GUIDE CHANNEL.
As a result Jones, who counts Natalie Cole, Vivica A Fox and HILLARY CLINTON among her long list of celebrity pals, will host LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET on Sunday (19SEP04) at Los Angeles' SHRINE AUDITORIUM.
