Fincher Passed On Silly Se7en Sequel26 April 2005
Cult movie maker David Fincher has passed on a possible sequel to seminal movie SE7EN because he found the premise of the follow-up laughable.
Ficher tells website HOLLYWOODNEWS.COM he has been presented with a script based around Morgan Freeman's character DET LT WILLIAM SOMERSET - but he refuses to direct it.
"They wanted Morgan to have become clairvoyant in some way and that was the way he was now solving serial-killer cases. I was like, 'Well, that's handy.' It's the kind of high concept you worry about.
"So I don't know that there is going to be a sequel. I do know that they have to call me if they're going to do it."26/04/2005 04:34
