Film Bosses Pressure Malaysia To Release Munich
Film executives at United Independent Pictures are seeking special permission to release Steven Spielberg's new movie Munich in Malaysia.
The country's Muslim censors have a long history of banning controversial films from cinemas - they banned Spielberg's 1993 epic Schindler's List.
But UIP bosses are hopeful they will be able to persuade Malaysia's state-run film censorship board to approve a 13 April (06) release for Munich even though the movie deals with an attempt to track down and kill the Palestinian terrorists who murdered Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games.
