Ferguson Settles Bill One Year Late
Former British royal SARAH FERGUSON horrified a seamstress by making her wait a year before she paid for her wardrobe alterations.
The DUCHESS OF YORK ordered NINA RAYIT - who runs a London dry-cleaning shop - to take in her clothes following her dramatic weight loss, and after furiously denying the 12-month overdue $660 (GBP360) debt she finally wrote two letters of apology and delivered the payment in cash.
Rayit complains, "She was going on a WEIGHTWATCHERS tour of Canada, and was very slim - all of her clothes needed taking in. I did the work but had not received the payment. It's strange because I had previously worked for her, happily, for a great many years."
A royal source insists, "It was a completely private matter and has now been resolved."09/06/2004 13:30
