Fbi Take Over Notorious B.I.G Murder Investigation
America's FBI have marked the seventh anniversary of the death of rapper NOTORIOUS B.I.G by taking charge of his murder investigation.
Federal agents are investigating allegations that a rogue police officer organised his killing in March 1997 with rap mogul MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT.
LOS ANGELES TIMES reporter CHUCK PHILIPS (corr), who has been tracking the murder investigation, claims he has information suggesting FBI officials are pursuing the theory that ex-officer DAVID MACK arranged for the rapper, real name CHRISTOPHER WALLACE, to be shot outside the PETERSEN AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM after attending a party there.
Mack, Knight and AMIR MUHAMMAD, who has been linked to the actual killing, have consistently denied any part in the 1997 murder.
After hearing the latest news about the investigation, Muhammad told the Times, "I have stated from the outset that I have nothing whatsoever to do with any of this."
Knight, who is currently serving prison time for a parole violation at MULE CREEK STATE PRISON in California, also insists the new investigation won't target him for the Notorious B.I.G murder.
He says, "I don't know David Mack or Amir Muhammad. I've never met them. The FBI has never contacted me, but I'm glad they are looking into all of this stuff. I hope they solve it."22/03/2004 09:31
