Farrell: Drugs Split Jane's Addiction
Rocker PERRY FARRELL is delighted to have reformed his band JANE'S ADDICTION because he felt his drug abuse was the cause of their 1991 breakup.
The BEEN CAUGHT STEALING star is furious he allowed himself to get so hooked on narcotics that control of the group went to music executives.
He laments, "I now regret not keeping the band together and if I could do it again maybe I wouldn't have done so many drugs.
"Drugs took over my business until I was no longer able to handle it myself, so then it was left to industry people - which is when you get taken advantage of, when you get s*** on."
Happily, bandmates Farrell, DAVE NAVARRO, CHRIS CHANEY and STEPHEN PERKINS started recording and performing together again in 1997.18/07/2003 17:25
