Fanning Joins Spielberg's Worlds
31 August 2004I Am Sam child star Dakota Fanning has landed yet another mega-budget movie role - this time in Steven Spielberg's remake of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS.
The 10-year-old will play the daughter of Tom Cruise's character in Spielberg's version of the 1953 sci-fi movie about Martian invaders.
Fanning has already appeared in several box office hits including UPTOWN Girls and Man on Fire, and has emerged as the favourite to take on starring roles in adaptations of LEWIS CARROLL's classic novels ALICE IN WONDERLAND and THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS.
Shooting on The War Of The Worlds is scheduled to begin in November (04).
