Fahrenheit 9/11 Hits South Korea
Director MICHAEL MOORE's controversial film FAHRENHEIT 9/11 is to be used to sway votes in South Korea after its success influencing the American electorate against President GEORGE W BUSH.
South Korea recently announced its plans to send additional troops to Iraq, a decision the DEMOCRATIC LIBERAL PARTY (DLP) argues is based on "slipshod intelligence".
The DLP will consequently host a special screening of the movie next week (19JUL04) hoping it will heat up the Korean anti-war movement.
DLP spokesman KIM SUNG-HEE explains, "By showing the movie that proves the absurdity of Iraq war provoked by Washington, we want to accelerate the anti-dispatch movement in the country through cultural means."15/07/2004 20:59
