Extra Decision Time For Oscar Voters
Oscar voters will have an extra week to deliberate on next year's (06) Academy Award winners thanks to the Winter Olympics.
Organisers were keen to avoid the prestigious showbiz celebration clashing with the close of the prestigious sporting event in Italy, but the delay puts the results at risk of being influenced by the preceding Golden Globe awards.
The Globes will be handed out on 15 January (06), while the deadline for the Academy's votes is the 21 January.
The Academy Awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on 5 March 2006.28/07/2005 06:39
