Previously unheard tracks from JOE STRUMMER's pre-CLASH days are to be released on CD later this month (APR05).
The exclusive recordings come from the late singer's time in his first band 101ERS.
The punk icon - who died in 2002 - dropped the 101ers in the 1970s to pursue a new musical direction, becoming the frontman of hit band The Clash.
At his widow LUCINDA's wish, EMI are now releasing an entire studio session and a number of live songs which Strummer performed with 101ers.
The CD - titled ELGIN AVENUE BREAKDOWN (REVISITED) - will hit stores in the next few weeks (APR05).
