Emmy Nominations Announced

The nomination's for this year's EMMY AWARDS have been announced - with black comedy/drama SIX FEET UNDER leading the race with 16 nominations.

It is hotly followed by political drama THE WEST WING, which has garnered 15 nominations, and comedies SEX + THE CITY and SEX AND THE CITY, along with THE SOPRANOS have 13 nominations each.

Cable network HBO scored a bonanza year, with 109 total nominations, beating NBC into second place with 77 and CBS into third place with 59.

BRYCE ZABEL, Chairman of the ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES says, "There is no question that this is an HBO year."
