Eminem Receives Treatment For Drug Addiction

Rap superstar Eminem is being treated in hospital for drug dependency.

The STAN star - real name MARSHALL MATHERS III - is fighting an addiction to sleeping pills.

Publicist DENNIS DENNEHY confirms Eminem is "in the hospital under doctors' care. He is being treated for dependency on sleep medication."

Eminem, 32, cancelled the European leg of his Anger Management 3 tour on Wednesday (17AUG05), blaming "exhaustion".

The 10-date trek was due to take place next month (SEP05), The US leg of the road show wrapped up in Eminem's native Detroit, Michigan, on Saturday (13AUG05).
