Elvis Single Heads To Top Of British Charts
Late rock'n'roll legend ELVIS PRESLEY could be headed for his 19th British number one - after fans turned out in their droves to buy re-released single THAT'S ALL RIGHT (MAMA).
The LOVE ME TENDER singer's first record was re-released yesterday (5JUL04) to coincide with the 50th anniversary of its recording at the SUN STUDIOS in Memphis.
Music chain HMV pressed a limited run of 5,000 copies of the single, on the original SUN RECORDS label, which sold out within hours at their flagship store in London's Oxford Street.
Sources at the company are now predicting the song will enter the top ten in this week's charts (ends11JUL04), possibly bagging the top spot.06/07/2004 09:01
