Elvis Presley - Elvis Seance

The ghost of ELVIS PRESLEY will be summoned today (16AUG04) in a Las Vegas seance to mark the 27th anniversary of his death.

Illusionist and escape artist DIXIE DOOLEY has invited members of the public to witness him attempt to contact the King, who died at his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee after suffering drug abuse and heart problems.

Dooley will hold the seance at the Nevada gambling capital's Greek Isles Hotel And Casino, as it was once owned by Presley's friends DEBBIE REYNOLDS.

Dooley hopes to contact Presley's spirit at 2.01pm (-7GMT) because 2, 0 and 1 were the late rocker's favourite numbers and he was an avid believer in numerology.
