Eckhart Tests His Anti-Smoking Resolve
Actor AARON ECKHART feared he'd return to his old chain-smoking ways when he learned his character had to puff away in movie remake THE BLACK DAHLIA.
The ERIN BROCKOVICH star used hypnotherapy to kick his nicotine habit and he worried that his latest role as a 1940s cop would bring the craving for cigarettes back to him.
He explains, "I get to smoke hand-rolled cigarettes with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. There will be a lot of smoking in Black Dahlia and I'm not a smoker.
"I smoked honey cigarettes, which are the herbal cigarettes. I don't recommend them because it's still smoke; I actually didn't have any craving for cigarettes after that because there's no nicotine in them, which is fantastic. It was cool."
