Earl Spencer Rejects Diana Conspiracy Theory
The brother of tragic British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES has dismissed a letter in which she predicts her own death in a car crash as a "bizarre coincidence".
EARL CHARLES SPENCER was responding to claims that his sister made about being targeted for a secret assassination by the British secret service in order to allow her ex-husband PRINCE CHARLES to remarry.
Spencer told reporters that he did not see the explosive letters - published in her former butler PAUL BURRELL's book MY DUTY - as proof that there was more to her death in Paris, France in 1997 than meets the eye.
He says, "With the conspiracy part of it, my family and I are absolutely certain that we have never seen any evidence of that whatsoever."
"I do think it is just a bizarre coincidence than tied in with reality."23/10/2003 02:00
