Rock veteran BOB DYLAN's first stint as a radio DJ has proved an instant hit with the station's listeners. The reclusive rocker yesterday (03MAY06) aired an hour-long show on American satellite service XM and related all his talk and music to the subject of weather. Kicking off with MUDDY WATERS song BLOW WIND BLOW, the singer/songwriter mused over the topic throughout the show. Introducing the slot, Dylan mused, "Curious about what the weather looks like? Just look out the window, take a walk outside." And after further weather-themed songs including JIMI HENDRIX's THE WIND CRIES MARY and STEVIE WONDER's A PLACE IN THE SUN, he signed off saying, "Until next week, you are all my sunshine. If you think the sun is too hot, just remember, you don't have to shovel it." Dylan will discuss different topic's each week: mothers, cars and drinking will follow weather.
