Dylan Called To Save Poets' London House
BOB DYLAN and PATTI SMITH have been called upon to help save the former London lovenest of French poets PAUL VERLAINE and ARTHUR RIMBAUD - which is rapidly falling into disrepair. The rockers have both honoured the troubled twosome in their songwriting - Dylan notably in his song YOU'RE GONNA MAKE ME LONESOME WHEN YOU GO. And now they are expected to join the fight to save 8 Royal College Street in Camden Town - where the lovers lived in the 1870s - from being redeveloped. Other celebrities standing up for the historic house include British thespian SIMON CALLOW and Poet Laureate ANDREW MOTION.
