Dyer: 'Drug Experiences Landed Me Human Traffic Role'
British actor DANNY DYER only won his role in cult movie HUMAN TRAFFIC because of his experience taking drugs. Dyer also admits to spending six week dabbling in drugs on the set of the 1999 film, which follows five friends as they enjoy a spot of Ecstasy-induced fun on one Saturday night out in Cardiff, Wales. In an interview with British magazine Attitude, he recalls, "The first question I was asked in the audition was, 'Do you take drugs?' And I was like, 'Yes, I love drugs.' "Most people denied having taken them at the interview. The director saw a lot of people, big actors at the time, and they denied taking drugs, which made him go, 'Thanks, see you later.' "He wanted someone who knew what he was talking about. It was six weeks of debauchery. It's weird for me to watch it now. That's me out of my nut on screen!"
