Duff: `i Helped Save Weiland's Marriage'
Rocker DUFF McKAGAN credits his martial arts classes in remote Washington state for helping VELVET REVOLVER bandmate SCOTT WEILAND back to reality after a series of drug busts.
The former GUNS N' ROSES star persuaded Weiland to join him at his retreat in the mountains of east Washington in a big to help him overcome his drug demons in 2003.
And he insists the martial arts sessions did more than just rehabilitate his pal - it helped him win back his family.
McKagan says, "We went away for about a month. He learned the key aspects of martial arts, how to be the captain of your own ship, but now his wife and family keep him going."
Weiland is now reunited with his wife MARY FORSBERG, who previously filed for divorce from the rocker.19/04/2005 02:41
