Dombivli-Fast Wins Jury Prize In Los Angeles

Director NISHIKANT KAMAT's DOMBIVLI-FAST took home the top prize at the fourth Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles in Hollywood on Sunday night (23APR06). The film, starring SANDEEP KULKARNI, claimed the Jury Grand Prize during the last night celebrations of the five-day festival. Sitar great RAVI SHANKAR claimed the night's other big award, a Lifetime Achievement honour, while the Audience Award for Best Feature went to PRAKASH KOVELAMUDI's BELLY FULL OF DREAMS. Other top prizes were given to BOMBAY CALLING (Grand Jury Prize Best Documentary), RUNAWAY GROOMS (Audience Award Best Documentary) and LUCKY (Best Short Film).
