Dmx Case Adjourned
DMX's day in court to answer charges he violated the conditions of his release following a New York car crash last year (04) has been adjourned.
The 34-year-old rapper didn't speak yesterday (11OCT05) as Judge DOROTHY CHIN-BRANDT granted a defence request to adjourn the case to 25 October (05).
Outside New York's Queens Criminal Court, DMX - real name EARL SIMMONS - said of the charges against him, "They are all ludicrous. It's been very stressful. Nobody likes to come to court."
In December (04), DMX pleaded guilty to smashing into a gate with his vehicle at New York's John F Kennedy Airport in June 2004 after telling a parking lot attendant he was a federal agent. The rapper has admitted to being on Valium at the time.
He was sentenced to a conditional discharge, meaning further violations within a year could land him in jail.
Since then, he has been cited twice for traffic violations.
