Disaster Movie Scrapped
12 September 2005New TV disaster movie LANDSLIDE was shelved last night (11SEP05) by network bosses at America's Hallmark cable channel, because they feared some scenes would upset those traumatised by Hurricane Katrina.
In a statement, TV bosses said the film was postponed "out of respect for the victims of Hurricane Katrina" because "story elements" were "vaguely and uncomfortably similar" to the disaster.
There's no plan to air the TV movie in the upcoming weeks.
