Diego Luna Slams Hollywood For Casting Debacle
Dirty Dancing: HAVANA NIGHTS star Diego Luna is amazed he and Romola Garai were cast as the movie's leads - because Mexicans and the English make terrible dancers.
The pair take to the floor in the hip-swaying sequel to the 1987 classic DIRTY DANCING, which starred Patrick Swayze.
But Mexican Luna still can't understand why he and English actress Garai were chosen.
The 24-year-old says, "Only the Americans would think of casting an English girl to dance salsa with a Mexican.
"Everyone - except they themselves - knows that we Mexicans are the worst dancers in the whole of Latin America."
Luna goes on to admit, "I need several large shots of tequila to dance and a pretty woman I like in front of me."
