DiCaprio Supports Fahrenheit 9/11

Documentary maker MICHAEL MOORE's controversial new movie FAHRENHEIT 9/11 was given a huge boost in New York on Monday night (14JUN04) - when LEONARDO DiCAPRIO made a rare premiere appearance.

Moore was stunned when DiCaprio wished the director luck on the red carpet, explaining he hadn't attended a movie premiere, other than his own, for 10 years.

Moore says, "It's so incredible. He came out for me in Los Angeles too. He's like a foot soldier for this movie. He's the man."

DiCaprio wasn't the only big star at the premiere - MOBY, YOKO ONO, MIKE MYERS, RICHARD GERE and TIM ROBBINS were also among the high-profile guests.
