Diana 'Urged Charles To Marry Camilla'
Late British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES was keen for her estranged husband PRINCE CHARLES to marry CAMILLA PARKER BOWLES, despite the fact she was still in love with him - according to a new book.
In DIANA: THE LAST WORD, the princess' friend and clairvoyant SIMONE SIMMONS claims Diana formed a tender friendship with Charles around the time of their divorce (96), despite bitter legal wranglings.
And the much-loved princess even joked affectionately about her husband's then-mistress, reportedly telling Simmons, "Camilla can't be all bad. After all, she's a Cancerian like me!".
Simmons claims Diana even urged Charles to "make an honest woman" of Camilla once and for all.
Simmons says, "She'd always thought she and Charles would get back together. She always loved him - till the day she died."
Charles wed Camilla in Windsor, England earlier this year (05). Diana died in a car accident in Paris, France in 1997.01/07/2005 10:16
