Destiny's Child, Kiss + Hootie Rock The Troops

Destiny's Child and rockers Kiss and HOOTIE + THE BLOWFISH were among the acts making US troops' dreams come true at Camp Pendleton, California, on Friday (01APR05) when they served up an April Fool's Day music festival.

Returning troops from Iraq were asked to name the acts they'd like to see perform at a homecoming celebration - and all their dreams came true.

Joining the three groups were Ted Nugent, Godsmack, Ja Rule, and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.

BEYONCE KNOWLES says, "We know that they requested the performers. For them to even consider us is an honour. With all that they've done for us, we had to be here."
