Depp Will Play A Woman For Burton

Eccentric star Johnny Depp is so keen to work with CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY director Tim Burton again, he has agreed to play a woman in the quirky film-maker's next movie.

Burton plans to dramatise the colourful life of legendary burlesque stripper GYPSY ROSE LEE - and Depp loves working with Burton so much he is prepared to don stockings and high heels in his desperate bid to grab the lead role.

He says, "The other day I said to Tim that I would shoot anything with him.

"And he said, 'Well, next I'm going to do the Gypsy Rose Lee story.

"I said: 'Can I play Gypsy Rose?' And he said: 'Yeah.' So I said, 'I'm in!'"
