Depp Threatens To Break Smoke Ban

JOHNNY DEPP has vowed to defy any smoking ban imposed in Britain and attacks similar enforcements in his native America.

The actor, who is thought to have a home in the south of England, has cut down on his nicotine habit, but believes smokers should be allowed to quit on their own, without being alienated.

He threatens, "I'll come over and have a smoke-a-thon. They've taken that whole pretzel and stretched it into as absurd pretzel as I've ever seen.

"Obviously it ain't good for you, and I don't condone it or recommend it, but everyone has to find their own way out of it. The idea of bludgeoning people and telling them that if they smoke they are awful is ludicrous."

	Webster defines democracy as "government by the people; especially : rule of the majority". When it has been proven that the majority is against a total smoking ban, why are total ban laws being passed? It makes you wonder what's next when the person with the loudest mouth and the most money is the one to legislate how the people should behave. Sounds to me like a form of communism in different clothing. Remember, if you throw the frog in the water while it's cold, the frog won't sense the danger until it's too late.

	I gave up 1 year ago but if Johnny is going to protest and smoke then I'm with him! You NSers think you have all the rights. Just remember that the tax we pay on cigarettes is more then what you drinkers pay for your grog and when was the last time you heard of a smoker having a smoke and going home and beating his wife in a smokers rage or a person having too much to smoke (cigarettes) and getting in a car and killing someone else. Grow a brain you do gooders because while our lungs maybe stuffed your liver, kidneys and brain are in worse nick than our lungs. If you want good health give up your grog,fatty foods etc and stop blaming smokers for you lack of will power too. Oh and while we're sitting outside having a smoke, STAY AWAY FROM US! I'm with Johnny on this. Stick it to 'em JD!

	i am so grateful and appreciated that Johnny has found his way on cutting down. and i do agree that people got to find his own way to live his/her life. even about smoking. but i really dont think it was appropriate to protest about the ban. well, i know we need to respect people's right, heh? and smoking and destroying someone's life is always that someone's right. but it is always people's right to breathe clear air...and that one is the one to be respected!!!
