Dawson's Mohawk Tribute To Mother
Actress Rosario Dawson's Mohawked hairstyle in new comic book adaptation Sin City is a tribute to her "radical" mother.
The sexy ALEXANDER star was encouraged to come up with her own look for the role of prostitute-vigilante GAIL, and decided to use her parent as a muse.
She explains, "I had the whole faux-hawk thing going on... My mom's so radical. She shaved her head into a Mohawk on her 40th birthday. She wanted to do that when she was really young but my grandmother was like, 'Absolutely not, you can do that when you're 40.' So she did."
