Daltrey's Renewed Grief For Morrison
THE WHO frontman ROGER DALTREY was unexpectedly overcome with grief for the late DOORS singer JIM MORRISON after his triumphant return to the ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL, Britain.
Daltrey's performance at the weekend (12JUN04) was his first concert there for more than 30 years, and it prompted nostalgic memories of the veteran rocker.
The PINBALL WIZARD singer says, "I remember getting drunk with Jim Morrison during the 1970 festival.
"We downed about two bottles of Southern Comfort in front of a huge bonfire. The beggar went and died the next year and didn't buy his round."15/06/2004 21:21
