Daldry's Tin-Tin To Hit Big Screen
Billy Elliot director Stephen Daldry is set to adapt the classic French adventure stories of TIN-TIN for the big screen.
Daldry is remaining cagey on the development of the project, but original Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell is tipped to play the quiff-sporting hero.
An insider says, "They will be making the film in LA in two or three years' time.
"Daldry was thinking about doing another literary adaptation after the success of The Hours, which he made with the producer Scott Rudin.
"But he says he's had enough of working with literary types."
But Daldry will be taking a well-earned break before he even thinks about his next move.
A spokesman says, "He's going on holiday as he's exhausted after Billy Elliot The Musical. He needs a break."
